Job summary

Goldfish Swim School is seeking a part-time Lifeguard to watch over swimmers and maintain a safe environment poolside. You will enforce rules, respond to emergencies, and help deliver a golden experience for families

Candidates should be safety-focused, dependable, and able to communicate clearly with team members and guests. Lifeguard certification is required or to be obtained through Goldfish Swim School, with evening and weekend shifts available.

Qualifications

• Safety-first mindset and the ability to stay calm and decisive under pressure.
• Dependable, punctual, and ready to focus every shift.
• Strong communication with team and families.
• Must obtain Lifeguard certification through Goldfish Swim School if not already certified.
• 6 months lifeguard experience preferred.
• Availability for evening and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain constant, focused surveillance of all patrons in the facility and respond immediately and appropriately to any emergency.
• Provide emergency care and first aid until EMS arrives, and ensure EMS is contacted through the most appropriate means.
• Communicate facility rules to members and guests fairly, consistently, and with a welcoming attitude.
• Inform management of any incidents accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility throughout every shift.
• Help drive our mission and ensure everyone has a Golden Experience while in the building.

Job Title: Lifeguard

Reports to: Deck Supervisor

FLSA Status: Part time, Non-Exempt

Summary: We’re looking for an alert, dependable, and safety-first team member to join us as a Lifeguard. This role is the backbone of what we do. You'll be poolside every shift, keeping a watchful eye over our swimmers, and creating a safe environment where kids and families feel confident in the water. If you take safety seriously, show up ready to lead by example, and genuinely care about the people around you, this role is for you!

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain constant, focused surveillance of all patrons in the facility and respond immediately and appropriately to any emergency.
• Provide emergency care and first aid until EMS arrives, and ensure EMS is contacted through the most appropriate means.

What We’re Looking For:

• Required to obtain Lifeguard certification through Goldfish Swim School, if not certified already.
• 6 months of lifeguard experience at an aquatic facility or camp preferred.
• Must be available for evening and weekend shifts.
• While performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to heat, humidity, and chlorine. Noise level is usually moderate.
