Dickinson College seeks a Lifeguard (Student Worker) to supervise bathers at the Kline Center Pool and enforce pool safety rules on campus in Carlisle, PA. The role requires current Lifeguarding, First Aid, and CPR certifications, with access to in-service training for emergencies.

Must be at least 16 years old. Documentation of certifications must be uploaded. This position supports athletic programs and cannot be performed remotely.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Supervise all bathers/swimmers.
  • Enforce pool rules for bathers/swimmers.
  • Perform safety checks to ensure a safe facility.
  • Monitor pool water chemistry, air and water temperature.
  • Maintain current Lifeguarding, First Aid and CPR certifications.
  • Participate in in-service training for emergency procedures.
  • The pool cannot be open without qualified staffing.

All individuals, including visitors, on campus are required to wear masks and follow appropriate CDC social distancing procedures at all times. Please note that employment as a Lifeguard is not able to be performed remotely.
