A lifeguard's job is to keep people safe in or around the pool. This is done by actively surveilling the pool and the surrounding area. The lifeguard will be responsible for keeping the area safe by enforcing the club's water safety policies and procedures.
Has met the requirements of American Red Cross Lifeguarding Course. Frequently uses hands, talks, and hears. Regularly stands and sits. Occasionally walks, reaches with hands and arms, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls. Occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.
Works in outdoor weather conditions. Occasionally works in wet or humid conditions (non-weather); near fumes or airborne particles, and near toxic or caustic chemicals. Noise level is moderate.
Valid American Red Cross, Lifeguard Certificate, CPR Pro. Lifeguard certification must be submitted with the application.
Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job.
