Job summary

Riverside Health System in Gloucester, VA seeks a Lifeguard who will supervise the pool area, ensure safety, maintain water quality, and provide excellent guest service. You will monitor temperatures, chemical levels, and equipment readiness while keeping the pool area clean and organized.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and ARC Lifeguard, First Aid, and AED certifications, with a preference for 1 year of lifeguard experience. Training is provided within 30 days.

Qualifications

• 1 year Lifeguard experience (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Supervise pool area and patio to maintain a safe environment.

Lifeguards are responsible for general supervision, safety, maintenance and excellent customer service.What you will doHas a neat professional appearance, with rescue tube properly placed, while maintaining proper surveillance of patrons and guests. Greets members and guest when entering the pool area with a nod of acknowledgement when possible, using names when appropriate.Works assigned shifts, or finds an appropriate substitute following all proper procedures and documentation.Supervises and controls all activity in the pool area and on the patio so that a safe environment is maintained.Responsible for monitoring and appropriately recording water quality, temperature and appropriate fill levels in pool and whirlpool.Maintains clean environment, proper equipment storage and completes scheduled shift duties.
