Job summary

Vail Resorts is seeking a Lifeguard for the winter season to watch water areas, respond to emergencies, and ensure guest safety. The position emphasizes delivering an Experience of a Lifetime to guests in a mountain resort setting and requires a Lifeguard Certification, CPR, First Aid, AED, Oxygen, and related training.

Starting wage is $20.00/hr to $23.00/hr, with part-time shifts and a winter seasonal contract.

Qualifications

  • Lifeguard certification required.
  • CPR for the Professional Rescuer.
  • First Aid certification.
  • AED and Oxygen certification.
  • Water Safety Instructor certification.
  • Pesticide Applicator certification.
  • COP training.
  • Fire Extinguisher training.
  • Must be able to communicate fluently in English.

Responsibilities

  • Provide legendary service to all guests.
  • Monitor water, deck and surrounding areas for safety.
  • Respond to emergency situations as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness of pool deck and facilities.
  • Display knowledge of pool facilities (length and depth).
  • Interact with guests per company standards and procedures.
  • Identify houseguests vs. external guests and manage payments or tickets.
  • Maintain order in swimming areas and monitor temperatures and facilities.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide legendary service to all internal and external guests
  • Provide guest safety by watching over water, deck and surrounding areas.
  • Lifeguards must respond to emergency situations as needed.
  • Maintain a cleanliness of pool deck and facilities
  • Display knowledge of pool facilities such as length and depth of all pools.
  • Interact with guests while adhering to company customer service standards, policies and procedures.
  • Must determine houseguests from outside guests and accept payment or collect tickets.
  • Maintains order in swimming areas, monitors pool and room temperature, inspects facilities for cleanliness.

The role you are being hired into requires further background check clearances by the State of Pennsylvania, which will need to be completed before you can begin work.

The expected pay range is $20.00/hr - $23.00/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
