Base pay range

$11.00/hr - $13.00/hr

Introduction to Role

The lifeguard position ensures the safety of pool and waterpark patrons and assists with aquatic programs and pool operations. Work is performed under the general supervision of a Facility Manager.

Who We Are Looking For

  • Safeguards and regulates the conduct of pool and waterpark patrons. Enforces policies, rules, and regulations. Rescues patrons and performs first aid as needed, including proper use of equipment.
  • Responds quickly and decisively to emergencies, establishing procedures to prevent accidents and eliminate risks.
  • Administers CPR and first aid as appropriate, provides written reports on accidents, and maintains updated safety standards.
  • Attends in-service training and instructs staff on certain skills. Provides customer service, including handling conflicts and complaints.
  • Operates equipment safely and reports unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
  • Communicates professionally and courteously with patrons, enforcing policies and resolving conflicts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned and maintains reliable attendance.
Work Details

Work is under the supervision of a Facility Manager. You will work with guests of all ages.

Qualifications
  • Valid American Red Cross Lifeguarding and First Aid certifications or equivalent.
  • Certified in CPR for the Professional Rescuer or become certified within 30 days of employment.
Physical Requirements

This role involves active work, including standing, walking, bending, swimming, and climbing. Must frequently lift items over 50 pounds. Vision abilities required include close, distance, peripheral, and color vision, as well as depth perception and focus adjustment.
