Job Summary

The Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety of guests and enforcing rules within the pool facility, adhering to lifeguard certification standards.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Monitor the pool area for safety concerns and practice preventative lifeguarding.
• Maintain professionalism, understand, and relate to guests using the pools.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents/guardians, and the public; respond promptly to questions and concerns.
• Patrol pool areas to keep the facility clean and perform daily maintenance, including setup and cleanup.
• Work at swim meets as needed.
• Test pool water for proper chemical and environmental conditions.

About You

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Hold a current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification (CPR/AED and First Aid).
• Knowledge of accident prevention and response.
• Ability to swim at least 300 yards with strength and endurance.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
