• The positions listed below are eligible for an additional $2.00/hr spring incentive added to the base rate for hours worked from March 8, 2025 - June 1, 2025.

Aquatic Attraction Guards & Shallow Water Guards, Lifeguards

• Aquatic Attraction Lifeguard (0-3 ft)
  

Base rate: $10.50/hr

• Shallow Water Lifeguard (0-5 ft)
  

Base rate: $11.50/hr

• Lifeguard (0-6 ft+)

What You Will Do

As an Aquatic Attraction Guard, Shallow Water Guard, or Lifeguard, you'll be the extra set of eyes and ears that help guests relax and enjoy. Responsibilities include monitoring swimming areas, assisting guests in distress, greeting and interacting with guests, answering questions, and resolving issues. Specific duties include:

• Maintaining patron surveillance on water attractions of varying depths, including waterslides.
• Responding to emergencies involving guests and staff.
• Maintaining proficiency in water rescue, CPR/AED, and First Aid skills.
• Attending scheduled training sessions and audits to maintain or improve skills.
• Keeping the park and support areas clean and safe.
• Practicing safe work habits, including using PPE and reporting hazards.
• Working as part of a team to increase productivity.
• Providing excellent guest service and maintaining a professional appearance.

Requirements to Succeed

• At least 16 years old.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand and walk in extreme weather conditions for extended periods.
• Successful completion of a prerequisite swim test.
• Ability to obtain CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer certification and lifeguarding certifications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to multitask with a positive attitude.
• Willingness to follow grooming and employment standards.
• Ability to complete all required training and certifications on time.
• Ability to stay calm, assess situations quickly, and make decisions under stress.
