Job summary

Acara Solutions is hiring for a Gas Turbine Engineer Support role in Indianapolis. You will lead investigations into operational and technical issues, identify root causes, and develop corrective actions to improve safety, reliability, and lifecycle performance.

The role requires collaboration with engineering, maintenance, operations, customers, and regulators. You will produce technical publications, reports, and communications for diverse stakeholders, using data-driven insights to inform

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required.
  • 2+ years troubleshooting experience.
  • 2+ years cross-functional collaboration experience.
  • 2+ years in gas turbine engineer support or related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead investigations into operational and technical issues, identifying root causes and corrective actions.
  • Manage safety, reliability, maintainability, and product maturity activities with performance targets and trend monitoring.
  • Develop technical publications, reports, and communications for customers and regulators.
  • Utilise maintenance data to identify deterioration mechanisms and lifecycle optimisation opportunities.
  • Provide technical assurance across build, commissioning, and service activities.

  • Lead investigations into operational and technical issues, identifying root causes and recommending effective containment and corrective actions.
  • Manage safety, reliability, maintainability, and product maturity activities, including setting performance targets, monitoring trends, and predicting future performance using statistical and reliability techniques.
  • Develop technical publications, reports, presentations, acceptance limits, and communications for customers, regulators, maintenance teams, and internal stakeholders.
  • Use in-service, maintenance, and repair data to identify deterioration mechanisms, best practices, lessons learned, and opportunities to optimise lifecycle costs and product performance.
  • Provide technical assurance across build, commissioning, maintenance, and service activities, including supporting health monitoring capability, regulatory compliance, and the return of components to serviceable condition.
Job Requirements
What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • 2+ years of experience working on complex tasks that are novel and ambiguous.
  • 2+ years of experience in troubleshooting and problem resolution.
  • 2+ years of experience in support/lead cross-functional teams, specialists, suppliers, customers, and partners.
  • 2+ years of experience in gas turbine engineer support.
What Sets You Apart:
  • Knowledge of components/ systems functionality and numerical methods.
  • Familiarity with the in-service operation environment, including regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Lifecycle engineering skills: root cause analysis, technical writing, failure investigations
  • Need to be able to learn a lot very quickly to be successful in this role.
  • Controls experience is very helpful, but material/mechanics side is more important
  • Understanding of data analysis - look at recorded data and infer operations within that data set.
