Job summary

Elite Hockey HQ is seeking a Lifecycle / Email Marketing Manager to own the customer communication strategy from signup through paid subscription and ongoing engagement. You will build automated flows that drive activation, retention, and upgrades for the training platform.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in lifecycle, CRM, or email marketing, ideally for a subscription or app-based product.
• Hands-on experience with an email/marketing automation platform (Klaviyo, Braze, Iterable, or similar).
• Strong understanding of segmentation, personalization, and behavioral triggers.
• Comfort working with data to analyze funnel and retention metrics and turn insights into action.
• Excellent copywriting and editing skills, with the ability to write clear, engaging lifecycle content.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize lifecycle email flows across onboarding, activation, engagement, win-back, and upgrade/renewal journeys.
• Partner with product and growth teams to identify key user moments and translate them into targeted, automated messaging.
• Own the email marketing calendar, including newsletters, product announcements, and promotional campaigns.
• Segment the user base and personalize messaging based on behavior, plan tier, and lifecycle stage.
• Analyze campaign performance and report on lifecycle program health.
• Run A/B tests on subject lines, content, timing, and send cadence to improve key metrics.
