Job summary

Northwood is seeking a Lifecycle Electrical Engineer to operate and improve its world‑leading ground segment network. You will own designs of deployed modules and circuitry spanning RF, power, and high‑speed digital electronics.

You will drive investigations into fielded systems, perform root‑cause analyses, and develop updates to fielded designs, from schematic capture to deployment, working with production and test teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics or related field.
• 2–4+ years of professional experience in electrical design.
• End-to-end board design—from architecture to layout, bring‑up and production.
• Hands‑on debugging of complex hardware with lab instrumentation and root‑cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Own electronics systems deployed in Prism systems from cradle to grave, spanning RF, power, and high‑speed digital electronics
• Observe performance and degradation of electronics deployed on Prism systems
• Drive root cause investigations and corrective actions on in factory and deployed ground station
• Provide design and analysis inputs to drive reliable design, test, and qualification campaigns
• Drive design improvements to modules, from design to schematic capture to layout, manufacture, and deployment
• Test prototypes and assess performance in the lab and in the field
• Work with production teams to make testable and manufacturable products that we can integrate in-house
