Job summary

Northwood is seeking a Senior Lifecycle Electrical Engineer to operate and improve the world’s most capable ground segment network. You will own designs spanning RF, power, and high-speed digital electronics and lead investigations into fielded systems for updates and reliability.

Responsibilities include driving root-cause actions, guiding design from schematic to deployment, and testing prototypes in lab and field, with collaboration across production teams to ensure manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics or a related field
• 4-7+ years of professional experience in electrical design
• Experience with end-to-end board design from architecture through production
• Hands-on experience debugging complex hardware systems with lab instrumentation

Responsibilities

• Own electronics systems deployed in Prism systems spanning RF, power, and high-speed digital electronics
• Observe performance and degradation of electronics deployed on Prism systems
• Drive root cause investigations and corrective actions on in-factory and deployed ground station
• Provide design and analysis inputs to drive reliable design, test, and qualification campaigns
• Drive design improvements to modules from design to layout and deployment
• Test prototypes and assess performance in the lab and in the field
• Collaborate with production teams to make testable and manufacturable products
