Job summary

Overlake Medical Center & Clinics in Bellevue, WA is seeking a Life Support Training Coordinator for the Clinical Education Department. This part-time (0.6 FTE) role will administer and coordinate life support courses (BLS, ACLS, NRP), including planning, implementation, evaluation, and compliance reporting; you may also teach BLS.

The position requires at least 1 year in adult education or program coordination, CPR certification, and BLS Instructor certification within three months of hire.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• CPR certification required; BLS Instructor certification within three months of hire.
• Minimum 1 year experience in adult education, teaching, program planning, coordination and evaluation processes. Acute healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Life Safety course programs and activities to meet regulatory requirements and patient care needs.
• Schedule classes, rooms and instructors.
• Utilize learning management system for enrollment, tracking and reporting; maintain records for students and instructors.
• Report compliance; ensure equipment is functional and supplies available.
• Provide room setup and clean up as needed; travel to and transport training equipment for on-site classes.
• Monitor instructor skill and provide feedback to management; ensure compliance with AHA agencies; evaluate staff satisfaction with courses.
