Job summary

Boeing's F-22 Raptor Program in Berkeley, MO seeks a Mid-Level or Senior Mechanical Subsystems Engineer to join the Air Vehicle team. The role focuses on life-support systems and integration of mechanical and fluid subsystems for the F-22 fighter.

You’ll work with multidisciplinary teams, contribute to design, documentation, testing, and field support. Travel up to 10% and relocation may be available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical or Materials)
  • 3+ years’ experience working with aerospace vehicles and their components
  • Willing to travel up to 10%

Responsibilities

  • Contributes to development and field support of mechanical and fluid systems for the F-22 fighter
  • Collaborates with other engineering disciplines to define interfaces and subsystem requirements
  • Performs detailed design development and CAD spatial integration for subsystems
  • Maintains and modifies platform designs/drawings for downstream users
  • Investigates and troubleshoots anomalies in fielded hardware and software across the lifecycle
  • Collaborates with technical and non-technical teams with minimal supervision
  • Monitors supplier performance for system integration and requirements compliance
  • Prepares technical documents for presentations and customer reviews/proposals
  • Works under general direction of technical lead and chief engineer
