Job summary

Spread Your Wings, LLC – ILS Services is hiring an entry-level Life Skills Team Member to coach clients with developmental disabilities toward greater independence. The role is part-time with potential to grow into full-time, and requires driving to client sites in the San Marcos, Oceanside, Carlsbad, and Rancho Bernardo areas.

You’ll spend most of your time in the field, documenting progress and supporting families, with training provided. Mileage reimbursement and stipends are included.

Qualifications

• You’d be great if you’re a strong communicator, dependable, and a creative problem-solver.
• Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to different client needs.
• Comfortable working independently in one-on-one settings.
• Experience with basic computer tasks (MS Word, email, data entry) is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Coach clients on building independent living skills.
• Encourage, motivate, and support clients with developmental disabilities and behavioral challenges.
• Help plan, create, and organize weekly goals and schedules for clients.
• Provide consistent documentation of progress through case notes and quarterly reports.
• Spend 90% of time in the field with clients and 10% on admin/documentation.

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation
• Able to pass a background check (per state industry standards)
• Computer literacy: MS Word, email, basic data entry
