Job summary

Lower Dauphin School District is seeking an Anticipated Special Education Paraprofessional to support learning in Life Skills and Learning Support settings. You will assist the classroom teacher, monitor progress, and help manage behavioral and health-related needs in a classroom setting.

The role requires a high school diploma, positive interaction with students, and the ability to obtain required clearances. This is a classified position supervised by building administration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• Must obtain Act 34, Act 114, and Act 151 clearances.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher and support students to maintain a quality learning environment.
• Monitor student activities and collect data on instructional progress.
• Support behavioral management and provide information on progress and needs.
• Assist with health care tasks, bathroom and daily classroom duties as needed.
• Follow confidentiality policies and school district guidelines.
• Perform clerical tasks and adapt to schedule and student needs.
