Job summary

SPLENDORA INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT seeks a Life Skills Special Education Paraprofessional to assist in a self-contained classroom, supporting instruction and behavior management under supervision of a certified teacher.

Responsibilities include preparing instructional materials, maintaining an organized classroom, assisting with records, and aiding students with daily activities and mobility. Full-time, 181 days, Grade 201; stipend applies for ECSE/SLC/BSC paraprofessionals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience with children preferred.
• Valid Texas educational aide certificate obtained after hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing instructional materials and displays.
• Maintain a neat and orderly classroom and manage supplies.
• Support teacher with records and substitute orientation.
• Assist students with daily activities and mobility as needed.
• Supervise students during meals, bus, and recreation.
