Responsibilities

• Collaborate with scholars, parents, and staff to develop IEP through the ARD process for each scholar assigned.
• Implement an instructional, therapeutic, or skill development program for assigned scholars with written evidence of preparation.
• Plan and use instructional strategies and materials reflecting learners’ styles and needs.
• Work with teachers to modify curricula and assist scholars in regular classes.
• Participate in ARD Committee meetings regularly.
• Assess scholar learning styles and plan instructional activities.
• Present subject matter according to IEP guidelines.
• Employ varied instructional techniques and media to meet needs of scholars.
• Supervise teacher aides and volunteers.
• Use technology in teaching/learning.
• Conduct ongoing assessments of scholar achievement.
• Provide or supervise personal/medical care as per IEP.
• Be a positive role model and support the district mission.
