Job summary

Rainbow Omega, Inc. is seeking a Life Skills Coach to provide direct support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will assist with daily living skills, implement active treatment plans, and promote independence within IPP/ICF/IID frameworks.

This full-time role emphasizes activities planning, pre-vocational training, and fostering vocational development, with responsibilities spanning transportation, documentation, and team collaboration to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record.
• Clean pre-employment drug screen and background check required.
• CPR, First Aid, and CPI certifications preferred or willingness to obtain them.
• Experience in ICF/IID or vocational settings preferred.
• Coursework in human services, vocational rehabilitation, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver daily and weekend activities; create seasonal decorations to foster a welcoming environment.
• Plan training activities that teach essential job skills and coordinate on-site and community opportunities.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living and independent living skills.
• Drive facility vehicles for on-campus/off-campus activities and appointments.
• Accurately document daily participation, progress toward vocational goals, and reports for licensing bodies.
• Participate in facility meetings and report concerns to the Program Director.
