Job summary

PathPoint is hiring full-time Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to join our Life Skills Plus day program in Simi Valley CA 91360. You will lead in-person, community-based, and virtual classes focused on art, music, cooking, volunteering, and more.

We value creativity and compassion, encourage new curriculum ideas, and offer a schedule from Monday to Friday 8:30am-4:00pm with a range of benefits and opportunities to grow within a supportive nonprofit environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid California driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors.
• Patience, compassion, and positive interaction with individuals with disabilities.
• Ability to build rapport and serve as a positive work role model.

Responsibilities

• Teach individuals social and life skills to help them lead more independent lives.
• Teach vocational skills to prepare for entry-level employment.
• Supervise individuals during instruction and community outings.
• Build rapport and model professional work habits.
• Prepare weekly schedules, monthly training projections, and progress reports.
