Responsibilities

• Support and assist teachers with attendance records, typing, preparing instructional materials.
• Reinforce appropriate behavior per the teacher’s plan and assist in classroom discipline.
• Guide students in daily activities, monitor hygiene, dress, eating habits, and behavior.
• Supervise small groups of students in community settings.
• Contribute to a positive school climate through praise, encouragement, and example.
• Assist with personal care needs for students with severe handicaps as required.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain equipment and supplies.
• Demonstrate CCISD Core Values in daily actions.
• Stay up-to-date through professional learning opportunities.
• Research district policy before taking action.
• Participate as an effective team member toward district goals.
