Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Texas educational aide certificate (must obtain within 30 days of employment).
• Current certification in de-escalation and restraint techniques or completion within 45 school days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with physical needs, including transfers to wheelchairs and positioning.
• Support life skills and instructional activities under teacher supervision.
• Help maintain student safety and manage behavior as directed by staff.
• Assist in lunchroom, bus, and playground duties throughout the school day.
• Maintain confidentiality and document relevant student information as required.
