University of California, Merced invites applications for a Teaching Assistant position in the School of Natural Sciences for AY 2026-2027, including Summer Session 2026.

The TA will conduct assigned laboratory and discussion sections, attend lectures and TA meetings, proctor exams, grade homework, and schedule at least two fixed office hours per week to support the supervising instructor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in the subject area or a related field.
• Must be a registered UC Merced graduate student in full-time residence.
• Maintenance of a qualifying GPA as per Graduate Policies and Procedures Handbook.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assigned laboratory and/or discussion sections.
• Attend lectures, labs and TA meetings; proctor exams.
• Grade homework and schedule at least two fixed office hours per week.
