Job summary

Mentor Technical Group in Puerto Rico seeks an EHS Technician to support safety and compliance on field projects. You will prepare and review JSA, review safety practices, conduct inspections, and coordinate with project engineers to resolve hazards.

The role requires OSHA 30-hour certification and a high school diploma or equivalent, with duties across site and field environments. Physical requirements include lifting and working in diverse conditions.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30-hour certification and other qualifying safety credentials are required.
• High school diploma or associate degree is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review Job Safety Analyses (JSA).
• Perform EHS inspections.
• Monitor field activities to ensure safety standards.
• Identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Participate in incident investigations and reporting.
• Maintain safety documentation and records.
• Support site safety meetings and toolbox talks.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Inform deviations from SOPs to Project Engineering and EHS.
• Inform Area Manager of project safety deviations.
• Perform permits (Hot Work, Confined Space, Critical Lift, LOTO, General Work, Excavation).
• Provide Contractors Orientation.
• Review contractor Job Hazard Analyses and qualification documents.
