Job summary

Teksol Integration Group, Inc. is seeking a Safety HSE Officer (Health, Safety and Environment) in Puerto Rico. The role focuses on overseeing safety on construction projects, ensuring OSHA compliance, and coordinating hazard mitigation across multiple island projects.

The candidate will conduct site inspections, manage permits, lead toolbox talks, and train personnel in safety policies. Strong English/Spanish communication and five years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Operations, Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
• Minimum five years experience as Safety Officer or similar position.
• OSHA 30-hour certification preferred.
• Interpersonal, oral and written skills in English and Spanish.
• Experience with risk analysis and safety training.

Responsibilities

• Visit project sites to inspect and enforce safety protocols.
• Prepare and follow up on risk analysis documentation.
• Manage work permits for site entry and exit with up-to-date documentation.
• Facilitate toolbox talks to reinforce safety awareness.
• Perform daily inspections of equipment, tools, and safety-critical assets.
• Investigate accidents and incidents and draft corrective action reports.
• Develop and enforce safety policies to minimize hazards.
• Maintain inventory and oversight of safety equipment across projects.
• Keep PM and clients informed of safety status and risks.
• Provide safety training to personnel based on job functions.
• Attend safety, health and environmental meetings.
• Ensure compliance with client SOPs and OSHA regulations.
