The position requires a Ph.D. in a life sciences field and USPTO admission, with a minimum of five years of patent prosecution experience in therapeutics.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biology, Molecular Biology, or related life sciences discipline.
• Admission to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
• Minimum of five years of patent prosecution experience in the therapeutics space.
• Experience with patent portfolio management and client counseling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and prosecute U.S. and international patent applications.
• Draft responses to USPTO office actions.
• Conduct patentability, prior art, and freedom-to-operate analyses.
• Support strategic portfolio management.
• Collaborate with clients and inventors on intellectual property strategies.
• Coordinate with foreign counsel on international prosecution matters.
