Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Neurobiology, Neuroscience, or related life science field.
• Two years of patent-related activities in life sciences.
• Experience preparing, filing, and prosecuting patent applications.
• Ability to identify potential patent infringements.
• Experience supporting patent agents/attorneys in life sciences.
• Experience with U.S. and foreign patent applications in biotechnology and pharmaceuticals.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, draft, and file patent applications with the USPTO.
• Draft and file responses to USPTO Actions.
• Evaluate the patentability of inventions and construe patent claims.
• Advise inventors, researchers, and attorneys on patentability and inventorship issues.
• Analyze technical documents and prepare legal analyses.
• Coordinate filing and prosecution of foreign patent applications.
• Prepare information disclosure statements and manage docketed deadlines.
• Conduct telephonic interviews with patent examiners.
