Job summary

EY is seeking a Life Sciences Manufacturing Manager to drive technology-enabled transformation across pharmaceutical, biotech and medical-device clients. You will lead cross-functional workstreams from assessment to implementation, aligning manufacturing and IT/OT teams to deliver measurable improvements in yield, quality and supply continuity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, life sciences, manufacturing, supply chain, information systems, business, or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of relevant Life Sciences manufacturing, manufacturing technology, operational excellence, industrial data and AI, technology consulting, or related field.
• Experience leading a client-facing manufacturing, digital, data, or technology workstream through design and at least one deployment.
• Experience in pharmaceutical/biotech/medical-device or regulated manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead client-facing workstreams in Life Sciences manufacturing transformation with ownership of plans, deliverables, risks, decisions and outcomes.
• Assess current-state production, quality processes, data flows, and site constraints through workshops and data analysis.
• Translate priorities into process designs, requirements, acceptance criteria and measurable improvements.
• Develop functional designs for batch execution, electronic batch records, recipe management, genealogy, and connected-worker workflows.
• Coordinate integration requirements across MES/MOM, ERP, LIMS, QMS, historians, SCADA, DCS/PLC, asset-management systems, and cloud/edge platforms.
• Define and review data mappings, master-data needs, interface specifications, and data-quality controls for reporting, analytics and AI use cases.
• Help deliver analytics and AI use cases by assessing data readiness, workflow fit, and evaluation criteria.
• Work with quality and validation teams to reflect GxP, data-integrity, electronic-record, change-control, and risk-based assurance in deliverables.
• Oversee configuration activities and lead testing, defect resolution, deployment readiness, training, cutover support, hypercare and handover.
• Facilitate sessions across manufacturing, quality, IT, engineering, supply chain, data, and technology-vendor teams to accelerate decisions.
• Manage workstream scope, schedule, resources, quality, risks; contribute to estimates, proposals and follow-on opportunities.
• Coach junior team members and capture reusable requirements and delivery lessons.
