Life Sciences Licensing – Mid-Level Associate
Goodwin seeks a highly qualified licensing mid-level associate with 3-4 years of experience to join our Life Sciences group.
Candidates should have experience in intellectual property licensing, technology transfer, and other technology transactions, as well as in IP support (including intellectual property and technology transaction due diligence) of corporate transactions in the life sciences arena. Candidates should also have experience in some or all of the following: drafting and negotiating intellectual property licenses (including patent and trademark licenses); joint development, collaboration, and other strategic alliance agreements; technology licenses and services agreements (including software as a service agreements); and distribution agreements as well as performing intellectual property and technology transaction due diligence for corporate transactions and technology transfers. Experience in adjacent fields will be considered as part of the candidate''s overall qualifications. However, that experience will not be weighed to the same degree as direct experience in licensing. Full consideration will be given only to experience that directly aligns with the core responsibilities and technical requirements of a licensing associate.
Candidates must have general experience both working in teams and in managing substantial components of transactions independently, along with outstanding academic credentials, comparable law firm experience, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Relevant bar admission (or eligibility to obtain admission promptly) required.
