Responsibilities

• Preparation of materials and supplies for introductory biology laboratories including planning, scheduling, and placing orders; culturing, collecting, and preparing materials; keeping detailed prep notes with updates of changes.
• Primary Lab staff member who sets up and breaks down the introductory teaching laboratories each week.
• Maintenance of records and documentation for teaching laboratories including safety data sheets and equipment maintenance; arranging service for instruments when needed; troubleshooting equipment/supply issues.
• Supervision of student staff safety information and instructions; may assist with hiring and timecard approvals.
• Assisting with administrative duties to support the BIOL lab program including monitoring a Biology Lab email account and coordinating with other departments.
