Job summary
Granite School District seeks a BiG Laboratory & Internship Manager to lead student participation in life science projects and work-based learning at BioInnovations Gateway (BiG) located at Granite Technical Institute.
The role bridges secondary education and the life sciences industry by coordinating student placements with incubator companies, maintaining lab facilities, ensuring safety compliance, and supporting CTE pathways.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required in a life sciences field.
- Laboratory experience operating analytical instrumentation (HPLC, MS, PCR) preferred.
- Teaching, coaching or industry training experience preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years of professional life science lab experience.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate internship placements with BiG start-up companies and industry partners.
- Design and execute authentic, industry-connected student projects.
- Maintain laboratory facilities, safety standards, and compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with the District CTE Department and industry partners to support programs.
