Job summary

Cepheid, a Danaher operating company, is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety professional to partner with site leaders to enhance safety culture, conduct risk assessments, and support regulatory compliance. The role involves coordinating training, incident investigations, and EHS program improvements across laboratory and manufacturing environments.

Ideal candidates will hold a Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years in EHS and have strong knowledge of OSHA/OSHA-WISHA/DOSH, ISO 14001/45001

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years in Environmental Health and Safety or related field.
• Experience identifying workplace hazards and performing risk assessments.
• Working knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS requirements and audits.

Responsibilities

• Partner with site leaders to improve safety culture and coordinate training and drills.
• Conduct risk assessments for processes, equipment, and chemicals; support corrective actions.
• Support and improve site EHS programs including laboratory safety, waste, and environmental compliance.
• Manage EHS projects and collaborate with committees and emergency teams; support sustainability initiatives.
• Apply DBS tools and standard work to drive measurable improvements.
