Job summary

The DAVIS Companies is seeking an Assembly/Kitting Technician for a contract-to-hire role with a growing life sciences manufacturer in Billerica, MA. You will assemble customer kits, perform light mechanical assembly, label components, and maintain production documentation for products used in laboratory and research environments.

The 1st shift runs from 6am–9am, offering hands-on work with basic hand tools, a focus on quality, and collaboration within a safety-conscious team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years of assembly, production, or manufacturing experience.
• Experience using basic hand tools and performing detailed assembly work.
• Ability to follow written instructions and complete documentation accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Assemble customer kits and product components following work instructions.
• Perform light mechanical assembly using basic hand tools.
• Label products, materials, and kit components accurately.
• Complete production documentation and manufacturing records.
• Inspect finished assemblies and kits for quality.
• Support inventory and production operations as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
