Job summary

Gray Construction is seeking a Life Science Project Executive to lead multi-discipline teams on large Food & Beverage projects, with flexibility for office, remote work, and travel. You will drive strategic planning, client relations, and design/build execution across industrial facilities.

Ideal candidates bring strong P&L accountability, proven leadership across complex projects, and experience with multiple contracting methods.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or 10+ years related experience.
7+ years of consecutive total profit and loss accountability on multiple projects.
5+ years managing all disciplines of design/build or hard bid projects as required for the market.
Experience in lump sum, GMP, cost plus construction management, and fee-based contracts.
Proven record in increasing project profitability.
Knowledge of costs and fees for engineering and design services.
Ability to mentor project staff.
Develop aggressive schedules for varied project types and start dates.
Experience in cost estimates for design/build in industrial settings.
Ability to build harmonious relationships with owners, co-workers, vendors and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Facilitates customer and team meetings and ensures detailed minutes and actions items are distributed.
Ensure project start-up meetings are held and actions tracked.
Track project actions and ensure submittals, status reports, closeout documents and maintenance manuals are completed.
Visit project sites regularly.
Monitor progress, identify issues early, and provide corrective actions to maintain profitability and schedule.
Monitor purchasing of materials, subcontracts, equipment to ensure cost savings and safety.
Ensure change orders are issued and cost reports reviewed monthly.
Oversee master schedule and coordinate with Field Ops and other services.
Understand and apply terms of owner contracts and subcontracts.
