Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in New York seeks an Analyst in Equity Research covering Life Science Tools & Diagnostics. You will build models, perform valuation, and analyze earnings and regulatory data while communicating with clients and management teams to shape investment views.

Basic qualifications include FINRA Series 86/87 licenses, 2–3 years in equity research or related fields, and advanced Excel skills. CFA and coding skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• FINRA Series 86 and 87 licenses are required.
• 2–3 years of equity research or investment banking experience.
• Strong accounting, finance, quantitative and business communication skills with modelling, forecasting and valuation experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Ability to multitask and collaborate and also work independently.
• High level of organizational skills and attention to detail with deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Passion for markets and Life Science Tools & Diagnostics sector.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Excel-based models to forecast company financials and project industry dynamics.
• Perform detailed valuation work to support stock recommendations.
• Analyze complex data sets, earnings releases, regulatory filings, and industry events to shape views on the sector and covered companies.
• Write research notes and sector reports and prepare presentations.
• Build relationships and communicate with internal/external clients, industry experts, and management teams.
• Fulfill client requests in a timely and thorough manner.
• Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and generate ideas for differentiated research products.
