Job summary

JPMorganChase in New York seeks an Associate in Equity Research covering Large Cap Software to become an industry expert. You will build and maintain Excel-based models, forecast financials, value stocks, write research notes, and present to clients and management teams.

The role requires 2–3 years in equity research or investment banking, strong accounting/finance, advanced Excel, and FINRA Series 86/87. CFA progress and coding skills (VBA/Python) are preferred.

Qualifications

• FINRA licenses Series 86 and 87 required.
• 2–3 years in equity research and/or investment banking.
• Strong accounting/finance knowledge and financial modeling experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and ability to multi-task in a team.
• CFA charterholder or progress towards CFA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Excel-based models to forecast financials and industry dynamics.
• Perform detailed valuation work to support stock recommendations.
• Analyze data, filings, and news to shape views on the industry and covered companies.
• Write research notes and sector reports; prepare client presentations.
• Communicate with internal/external clients and management teams; fulfill requests promptly.
• Demonstrate curiosity and generate ideas for differentiated research.
