Job summary

Cannon Building is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee healthcare and life science projects in the Los Angeles and Orange County area. This full-time, on-site role is based in Placentia, CA, with responsibility for safety plans, project scheduling, cost control, and subcontractor coordination.

The ideal candidate has at least five years in commercial construction with Life Science/Pharmaceutical focus, a related degree, and strong leadership, communication, and QA/QC

Qualifications

• Demonstrates working knowledge of commercial construction with Life Science/Pharmaceutical focus.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Lead Superintendent experience on Life Science/Pharmaceutical projects.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure SWPPP, BMP and storm-related paperwork is up to date.
• Lead project meetings, prepare minutes, and coordinate with Owner, Architect and Consultants.
• Ensure compliance with general conditions, contract requirements and subcontract terms.
• Manage project documentation and costs using Procore; oversee RFIs, submittals, inspections and change orders.
• Promote and enforce jobsite safety; lead safety start-ups and regular safety meetings.
• Coordinate schedules, resources and materials to meet project timelines and budgets.
