Job summary

Children’s Wisconsin is seeking a Public Safety Dispatcher to operate access control, alarms, video surveillance, MedGas and fire monitoring, CAD, and related systems across multiple campuses. You will respond to emergencies by dispatching internal and external resources and collaborate with Hospital Operators.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year in customer service or dispatch roles, strong communication, and the ability to multi-task under pressure.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED/HSED required.
• 1+ year experience in customer service call-center or dispatch role.
• Preferred 2+ years as a dispatcher in security or 9-1-1.

Responsibilities

• Assists in responding to emergencies and dispatching resources.
• Collaborates with Public Safety Call Center Operators during emergencies.
• Monitors security, safety and environmental systems for alarms.
• Writes log entries and routine reports of events.
• Prepares instructions and communications for department operations.
• Answers phones and relays messages; handles confidential information.
• Keeps knowledge of CW policy and attends relevant meetings.
