Job summary

The American Red Cross in Farmington, CT is hiring for a role supporting blood collection operations. You’ll use customer service and healthcare skills to assist with collecting donations, preparing sites, and ensuring donor comfort.

Paid phlebotomy training is provided, with opportunities to grow within the organization. This on-site role requires a high school diploma, valid driver’s license, and ability to lift and move equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required.
• Basic computer skills are required (Microsoft Office).

Responsibilities

• Take time to personally connect with donors and explain donation impact.
• Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming and friendly environment for donors.
• Be detail oriented to ensure collected blood meets goals and regulatory requirements.
• May drive Red Cross vehicles and assist with set up/teardown at donation sites.
• Position may require minimum height of 60 inches for safe vehicle operation.
