Job summary

Indiana Donor Network is seeking an Organ Import Coordinator for day shifts in Indianapolis. The role screens organ offers for hearts, lungs, livers, pancreas, intestines and kidneys for patients awaiting transplants, coordinating logistics and documentation for successful imports.

Candidates should have an advanced degree in transplantation & donation sciences or a related clinical credential such as RN/Paramedic/RT, plus BLS.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Advanced degree in transplantation & donation sciences or RN/CPTC with ABTC certification preferred.
• Experience or training in organ donation/transplant processes is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Screen organ offers for multiple organs per OPTN guidelines.
• Coordinate logistics for organ import with OPOs and transplant centers.
• Document import status using dedicated software and drives.
• Communicate physician requests clearly to host OPOs and centers.
• Manage communication with transplant teams with HIPAA-compliant tools.
• Maintain organization and attention to detail during high-stress situations.
