Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking an individual to support the blood collection process, transporting equipment and helping create a welcoming donor environment. You will be part of a team that ensures safe collection and timely delivery of blood products to hospitals.

We offer paid phlebotomy training and opportunities to advance healthcare skills within the organization. The role features a variable schedule including mornings, nights, weekends and holidays, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required.
• A current, valid driver’s license with a good driving record is required.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications are required.

Responsibilities

• Drive blood collection vehicles to transport supplies, equipment, blood products and staff to and from mobile sites.
• Load and unload trucks and other vehicles.
• Interact with donors to create a welcoming environment and explain the donation process.
• Collaborate with teammates to ensure donors feel comfortable and return for future donations.
• Be detail oriented to meet goals and safety/regulatory requirements; assist with setup and teardown of equipment at donation sites.
