Qualifications

• Completed at least junior year of undergraduate engineering studies.
• Enrollment in ABET-accredited Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Chemical, Architectural, or Industrial Engineering program preferred.
• Excellent communication and ability to work in teams.
• Capable of multi-tasking and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site visual inspection of buildings for compliance with codes.
• Write comprehensive code reports outlining fire protection and life safety features.
• Perform code reviews of architectural/engineering plans for code compliance.
• Provide performance-based design solutions such as fire modeling and egress modeling.
• Develop code summaries, life safety, and egress plans using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Perform commissioning and inspections of fire protection and life safety systems.
• Perform fire stop inspections.
