The Life Safety Intern role involves on-site inspections, code reporting, and design support using AutoCAD and Revit, with collaboration across teams to drive client results.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in ABET-accredited Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Chemical, Architectural, or Industrial Engineering program is preferred.
• Junior year or higher undergraduate status required; fire protection master's preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated leadership, strong work ethic, and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site visual inspection of buildings for code compliance.
• Write comprehensive code reports on fire protection and life safety features.
• Perform code reviews of architectural and engineering plans.
• Provide performance-based design solutions such as fire and egress modeling.
• Develop code summaries and life safety/egress plans in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Perform commissioning and inspections of fire protection and life safety systems.
• Conduct fire stop special inspections.
