Job summary

TSMC Arizona is seeking a Life Safety Systems Construction Engineer to oversee on-site life safety system installation at our Phoenix facility, ensuring design compliance and safety standards.

The role involves coordinating contractors, reviewing drawings, performing inspections, supporting RFIs, and assisting with testing, commissioning, and final acceptance to meet project requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor ’ s degree in fire protection engineering, mechanical engineering or construction management, or equivalent experience in semiconductor
• At least 1-3 years of experience in the U.S. in fire construction or a related field

Responsibilities

• On-site supervision and management of the construction and installation of life safety systems, ensuring compliance with design drawings, construction specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
• Coordinating and managing contractors to ensure construction progress, quality, and safety meet project requirements
• Reviewing construction documents, shop drawings, and material submittals to ensure consistency with approved designs and specifications
• Conducting periodic and ad-hoc on-site inspections to monitor construction quality, identify, and resolve potential issues or non-conformities
• Responding to RFIs during the construction process and assisting in resolving technical issues on-site
• Participating in and documenting meetings related to construction progress, quality, and safety
• Assisting with testing, commissioning, and final acceptance of life safety systems
• Proactively communicating with internal teams and external contractors to ensure all stakeholders understand construction requirements and progress
