Life Safety and Security Officer is responsible for protecting employees, visitors, contractors, patients, and all properties of PPMW while providing high-level customer service.
Responsibilities include:
- Patrolling the Health Center and grounds to detect threats, unauthorized persons/vehicles, suspicious packages, or property damage.
- Greeting visitors warmly, informing relevant employees of their arrival, assisting with sign-in on the Visitor Management System, issuing Visitor Badges, and escorting visitors as needed.
- Enforcing security access control procedures, including issuing facility access badges and verifying identity and employment status.
- Responding to incidents, completing reports, and notifying appropriate parties promptly.
- Monitoring building security cameras and surveillance systems.
- Assisting in building emergencies such as evacuations and fire alarms.
- Maintaining the orderliness of the reception area.
- Writing detailed incident reports and contacting relevant personnel.
- Monitoring visitor movement and ensuring authorized access.
- Promoting good public relations through courteous and professional interactions.
- Enforcing building rules and policies.
- Participating in required training and orientation programs.
- Performing additional security, customer service, or support functions as directed by supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of experience in security, law enforcement, military, or customer service preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and perform extensive walking, pushing, and bending.
Compensation: $21-$26 per hour
