Job summary

Pacific Life in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Manager, Quality Assurance to lead an independent QA function across Life Operations. You will set standards, perform risk-based reviews, and translate findings into actionable improvements while maintaining independence from day-to-day operations.

Reporting to the VP Life Operations, you will mentor a high-performing team, partner with business units to strengthen controls and customer outcomes, and drive governance, reporting, and continuous quality

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in a related financial services field.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in quality assurance, life insurance operations, risk, controls, compliance, audit, or related fields.
Experience with risk-based sampling, testing, scoring, defect classification, calibration, root-cause analysis, and corrective action.
Ability to establish quality standards, review processes, metrics, reporting, and governance.
Strong communication and leadership skills to build partnerships while maintaining QA independence.

Responsibilities

Lead the Life Operations Quality Assurance program with consistent standards and calibration.
Turn findings into insights, identify trends and systemic risks to improve operations.
Drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions with operational leaders.
Deliver meaningful QA reporting and governance visibility for leaders.
Lead and develop a high-performing QA team while preserving independence.
