Job summary

Winged Keel Group seeks a Life Insurance Underwriting Assistant to provide essential administrative support to the Underwriting team. The role includes case setup, preparing insurance forms, tracking underwriting requirements, and data entry for new policies.

Qualifications

• Exceptional detail orientation and accuracy essential.

Responsibilities

• Case set up: Create and update case records in the database.
• Order Prescription Checks and MVRs.
• Order APSes and track progress.
• Complete life insurance applications and prepare for delivery.
• Prepare documents for signature on DocuSign.
• Prepare and submit MHS paperwork for approval.
• Distribute and file carrier product and underwriting updates.
• Develop basic knowledge of carrier products.
• Enter application and policy information in the company database.
• Review policies and prepare policy delivery package and cover letter.
• Fax, copy, and scan documents; create FedEx labels and send packages.
• Break down underwriting files when a case closes and hand off to Client Services.
