AmeriLife is seeking an Underwriting Assistant to support medical and loan underwriting teams in placing life insurance policies and ongoing servicing. You will gather requirements, review completeness, and submit to carriers and lenders, tracking exams and APS requests while updating Salesforce Chatter.
You will assist with carrier applications, monitor cases throughout underwriting, draft letters, manage files in Salesforce/SharePoint, and contribute to continuous improvement and customer
Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of life insurance underwriting support experience in an agency or carrier environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with Salesforce and SharePoint is preferred.
Responsabilités
- Assist the case manager in completing carrier applications and follow up efforts.
- Monitor each underwriting case and coordinate timelines; escalate issues when needed.
- Work with carriers to issue policies.
- Download application kits and populate information for Case Manager review.
- Draft informal and formal underwriting letters for Case Manager review.
- Maintain underwriting files and prepare underwriting correspondence related to applications, policies, and endorsements.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and customer service.
