Job summary

Mercy Health seeks a Paramedic to support urgent and critical care for Life Flight and Mobile Life transports. You will assess, plan, document, and evaluate patient care with a critical care transport nurse, ensuring age-appropriate care from neonatal to geriatric patients.

Responsibilities include pre-transfer care, patient evaluation, interdepartmental communication, EMS education, and ongoing training. Travel to base sites is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited paramedic program.
• At least 3 years paramedic field experience.
• CAMTS approved advanced certification required or obtained within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional care for urgent/emergent needs prior to air or ground transfer.
• Evaluate patient care with the critical care transport nurse and document assessments.
• Communicate with EMS and hospital requestors to facilitate patient care.
• Educate EMS and professional groups about Mercy Health services.
• Travel to base sites as needed and participate in training.
