Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Paramedic to support urgent and critical care for patients transported via Life Flight or Mobile Life. You will assess, plan, document, and evaluate care with the critical care transport nurse, delivering age-appropriate care across neonatal to geriatric patients.

You will travel to base sites and adapt to scheduling changes while maintaining standards per Medical Directives and department policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited paramedic program.
• At least 3 years paramedic field experience.
• Current Paramedic license in the State of Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional care to urgent/emergent needs prior to air or ground transfer; collaborates with the critical care transport nurse to assess conditions and plan care.
• Evaluates patient care with the transport team and documents assessments and care.
• Represents Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center and St. Rita's Medical Center to the community.
• Maintains vehicle, equipment and supplies per policy; supports Life Flight operations.
• Travels to base sites and adapts to staffing or aircraft/mobile unit issues.
